I, Baidyanath Yadav, the Editor of this Saptari Jagran Online was born on 28th October 1980 A.D., as the son of Shree Darshan Yadav and Sanjha Devi Yadav, Inhabitant of VDC Ko. Madhepura-8(Babhangama), District Saptari (Nepal).
I passed SLC in 2055 B.S. from the local school named Laxmi Ballabh Narsingh Higher Secondary School, Babhangama-Katti. Intermeidate in 2003 A.D. from Patana University of Bihar, India and Graduation from Purwanchal University, Nepal. I have been involved in the profession of active journalism since 1998 A.D.
Having born in the family below poverty line, I, according to the wish of my parents, got admission in Jagdama Technical Institute, Rajbiraj, Nepal and got the academic degree of Lab Assistant securing first division marks. During my studies in this institute, I got myself involved in journalism as well, through the local newspapers Jan Akrosh daily and Saptari Sandesh with the co-operation of the editors of those papers Ganesh Lal Dev and Dhirendra Prasad Sah.
My parents expected to have a good government job to run the family and to manage of the marriage of my two younger sisters. I was in confusion what to do: job or journalism? But finally I chose the latter one as my profession.
I was a raw journalist migrated from rural area and it took one or two years for me to understand journalism. I worked for Jan Akrosh daily, Krishna daily as (Co-editor), Satyapan weekly and Natkhat fortnightly, Besides, I worked as a reporter in about half a dozen papers such as Dharan Today (Dharan), Janakpur Today (Janakpur Dham), Tarun weekly (Kathmandu), Bishwadeep Weekly etc. Then I Started to publish the Satpari Jagran Weekly from 8 july 2001 A.D., in my own editorship and publication, that is in 2001 /A.D.
In addition, I worked as a saptari reporter of the Rising Nepal and the Gorkhapatra national daily from 2060 B.S., that is 2003 A.D. for three years continuously.
Besides publishing my own Weekly, I have been working as Saptari reporter of the Avenues Televsion and Ujjyalo National Network 90 MHz since 2007 A.D. I have got more than a dozen trainings on journalism which were conducted by Nepal Press Institute, Federation of Nepal Journalists, Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority and center for investigation journalism etc and I also have got so many rewards for my work in journalism.
I have been, continuously, writing in the sector of controlling crime and corruption, conflict management, gender issues, boarder crime, preservation of human rights etc. I have so far no inclination towards any political organization and I have always been on independent journalist.
At present I am the general member of Federation of Nepali Journalist, Saptari Branch and also the central counter of FNJ. Beside, I am the central chairperson of an NGO named Terai Media Group.
